Hello SDMA Families and Staff.

Greetings from the School District of the Menomonie Area!  I hope that everyone is doing well, and Happy Mother's Day weekend to all moms in our school district.

There are a few important items to be shared with SDMA families today:

  • Enrollment for the 2020-2021 School Year- If you have any new students that need to be enrolled in the school district, or if your address has changed over the past year, please contact the SDMA Administrative Service Center. We are still here to help you. Enrollment paperwork can be obtained by contacting Marinella Lee at 715-232-1642, X-11331 or via email at [email protected].
  • Free COVID-19 Testing- Dunn County and Eau Claire County are partnering to host a community COVID-19 drive-thru testing site, for those with mild symptoms, in Eau Claire, WI on Sunday, May 10 and Monday, May 11, 2020. These testing sites will be at Chippewa Valley Technical College/Prevea Health Clinic, 617 W. Clairemont Avenue, Eau Claire, WI. The event will run on Sunday, May 10 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, and on Monday, May 11 from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm, or until testing kits run out. Attached is a list of all mass testing sites in the Western Region. Dunn County residents are able to go to any of the other sites that are more convenient. Testing through the collection sites in the attachment are free of cost.
  • School-Based Mental Health ServicesAttached is a letter about the school-based mental health resources that are available through the SDMA. An article with more information about this program was recently published in the Dunn County News.
  • SDMA Staff Members in the News- Congratulations to SDMA Director of School Nutrition Michelle Kloser and Menomonie Middle School Principal Mark Anderson who were recently recognized for their great work in our schools and community. Mrs. Kloser was recognized as the state's Director of the Year by the School Nutrition Association in Wisconsin, and Mr. Anderson was recognized as Administrator of the Year by the Wisconsin Association of Student Councils for Junior and Middle Schools (JAM). We are very fortunate to have so many terrific staff members in the SDMA!

Have a wonderful weekend!
